The Qatar GP is back for the 2nd time; the first race being held in 2021. The track is located about 25 minutes by car from the centre of Doha, the capital of Qatar, however, and is public transport available to and from the track for fans.

I choose to stay at the Mondrian hotel, which is a very stylish property located halfway between the city and the track although there are some other high end options in the city and some lower end options closer to the track.

KYM'S TIP

Dress for hot and cool: While the days are hot, the nights can get cool so bring a light jacket or sweater just in case.

The track itself is situated in a remote location, so there’s not much happening outside of the track and unlike some of the other F1 tracks, it’s near impossible to get close to the paddock swipe gates, so there is very little access to the drivers at this event.

Keep in mind that there are limited grandstands away from the front straight, so plan accordingly if you want to have a good view of the action.
