Miami is F1’s 11th different venue in the USA. This cosmopolitan city is home to NFL football team the Miami Dolphins, NBL team Miami Heat, the Miami Marlins (baseball), Floria Panthers (NHL) and Inter Miami (soccer), a team part owned by David Beckham.
If you haven’t scored a ticket to the race, you may find some on the re-sale websites but they go for many times face value. And if you’re wanting to eat at the best restaurants, you’ll want to book well ahead as demand will be high.
The track is 16kms from the coast and 27kms from downtown Miami. Traffic is heavy for the race so staying closer to the track might be a better alternative for those who value their time.
The race organiser has made numerous changes to the paddock and pit lane with new hospitality suites above pit lane and the teams hospitality area being moved to inside the Hard Rock stadium. This race is a ripper for spotting celebrities and for something typically Miami, book the Beach Club wear you watch the race from your cabana or in the pool.
The newly constructed street circuit winds its way around the Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins and the city is so confident of the success of the event, they’ve signed up to host the race for 10 years.
