About Alexander

Alex started racing karts at the age of 8 and finished in the top 3 in every championship he competed in between 2006 and 2011.
In 2012 he graduated to single-seaters, coming 3rd in the 2014 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and 2nd in the 2016 GP3 Series.
After finishing 3rd in the 2018 F2 championship he made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix. In 2020 he was promoted to Red Bull mid-season but struggled to get the results required by the team and was replaced by Sergio Perez in 2021.
He wasn’t completely out of F1 during the 2021 season as he was appointed as Red Bull’s reserve driver. In 2022, Alex got back behind the wheel driving for Williams. He is the equal tallest driver on the grid and is a likeable character with a strong following.
