What’s Kym been up to?
It’s the first newsletter of 2024, and what a start it’s been! Kym kicked off the year in a very relaxed manner, enjoying some much-needed downtime with his family in Lancelin over the Christmas break.
But the relaxation didn’t last long! Before we knew it, Kym whisked his family off to Niseko, Japan for an unforgettable ski trip. He even documented their adventures in a series of videos which you can watch right here:
It was back to WA for 2 nights before he jetted off with his son Jayce to F1 pre-season testing in Bahrain. It’s always one of the highlights on the F1 calendar for Kym, and the pair managed to capture some great shots throughout testing and the first Grand Prix of the year. One of Kym’s weekend highlights from Bahrain was the few minutes he got to spend photographing 3-time F1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart for a new signed print deal that is available now; check your inbox and Kym’s socials to ensure you get your favourite number!
It wasn’t all work in Bahrain! Kym had some time off to explore what Bahrain has to offer – from 4-wheel driving to falconry and even some incredible go-karting. You can check out all the action in Kym’s video.
The duo then flew Gulf Air to Jeddah for the second F1 race of the year, which turned out to be an amazing weekend. British F2 driver, Ollie Bearman made his F1 debut with Ferrari, stepping in for Carlos Sainz who had to have his appendix out. Kym is now back home in Lancelin and gearing up for one of his favourite races of the year – his home race at Albert Park, Melbourne!
